A New Third Grader

Written by Mom:

Hayden is still at Lone Peak Elementary and is a 3rd Grader!!

His teacher is Mrs. Sherman.

He doesn't leave for the bus until 8:13 am.  We got to just sit around for an hour waiting.

He did have me take him to school on the first day.  Not that he was scared... he just wanted it to be different and special.

He is my "Easy Child".  

I never in a million years thought I'd say that.  

He just gets up.  

Gets ready.  

Makes his lunch (if I have forgotten).  

Plays with his toys until it's time to leave.

Primary Talk - Forgiveness

I was born on New Year’s Eve 2004.

When I was little sometimes I got in trouble.

But I was young and was still learning Right from Wrong. 

 As I got older I learned it was my choice to Choose the Right.

I try to make good choices but I’m not perfect and I forget.

This year I turned 8.

I made the choice to be baptized.

After my dad baptized me and gave me the gift of the Holy Ghost, my mom had me go back into the room where I was baptized.

She told me to listen closely as the water went down the drain. 

It made a LOUD and gross slurping noise.  My mom reminded me that that sound was all my sins being washed away and going down the drain.

The primary song says:  

“I know when I am baptized, my wrongs are washed away. 

And I can be forgiven and improve myself each day.”

I am glad I was baptized and that my wrongs were washed away.  

I am glad that because Jesus died, I can be forgiven and improve myself each day. I will always try to choose the right.

I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

I love my Mom's ipad...

I love to make videos on my mom's ipad and take pictures.  It's awesome.

Strep Throat.  Mom finally took Mackay and I to the doctors.  After they gagged me they decided I really was sick.  Wish Strep throat didn't make me barf all the time... oh well...

Pinewood Derby

Last night was my first Pinewood Derby.

My dad helped me make my car.  I chose to do an Oregon Ducks car.

 I didn't want to take pictures but my mom made me.

My car racing.  My car is the fastest in the video.

We had 16 races.  My car was #7.  I came in second 2 times and won the rest of my races.

I got FIRST PLACE!!

 Now I was happy to take pictures.

My Basketball Season

I played Jr. Jazz again this year. 

 I think I am getting better. 

Craig Lewis & Mark Spiers were my coaches again.  

I was number 20.

This was at my last game.

I didn't get to take very many shots but luckily my mom video taped me when I did.

My Bobcat in Cub Scouts

Hayden has started Cub Scouts!!

Last night was his first Pack Meeting and happened to be the Blue & Gold Banquet.

He performed his first skit --- reluctantly...

And then they awarded him his BOBCAT!!

Rod & Jackey Bruin are his den leaders.  They are amazing!!

He hated giving me a hug and a kiss... but it was my favorite part.
